Jacking into the Matrix, Cypher meets with Agent Smith – one of the programs that patrols the system, sniffing out rebels – and, over a particularly bloody slab of steak, agrees to sell out the crew of the Nebuchadnezzar in order to have his body plugged back into the Matrix. In fact, Cypher’s disgust with the harshness of reality – a claustrophobic ship, slop for food, the constant threat of death by machine – leads him to cut a deal with the bad guys. ![]() Before he knows it, Neo’s aboard the Nebuchadnezzar, a gravity-defying ship which Morpheus uses to search for The One – a person who will save humanity from the machines.Īmong Morpheus’ crew is Cypher, who unlike Neo has had the time to regret his decision to swallow the red pill. Earth is a blackened husk governed by machines which patrol the endless battery farms of unconscious humans. No sooner has he swallowed the red pill than the simulation begins to liquify and collapse a CGI shot or two later, and Neo is thrust into the realm beyond the Matrix: a bio-mechanical world of tubes and pods filled with gallons of ooze. But maybe at least a small part of Neo lives to regret not choosing ignorance rather than truth. That’s a big decision to make in such a hurry, and we should be grateful that Neo’s curiosity gets the better of him had he taken the blue pill, The Matrix would’ve been a far shorter movie. And I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” ![]() You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland. “You take the blue pill, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. “After, this there is no turning back,” Morpheus says. Neo’s choice between the simulated world and reality is symbolized by Morpheus’s outstretched hands offering a red or blue pill. It’s really the 21st century, the machines have enslaved humanity and turned them into slumbering batteries – the Matrix being a baby-sitting program designed to keep everyone pacified. From behind his mirrored shades, Morpheus tells Neo that he is, in fact, living in a simulated version of 1999: everything Neo sees and senses is a construct. But then he starts hearing of something called the Matrix, and encounters a mysterious, leather-clad figure called Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne). The Matrix is largely told from the perspective of Neo (Keanu Reeves), a programmer and hacker living an ordinary late-90s existence: he has a steady yet sterile office job, he has the Internet, and he goes to nightclubs that play Rob Zombie music. ![]()

![]() Summary: The KingsArchery Crossbow Pistol makes a great addition to any survival pack because you can get it with a ton of differently colored bolts that you can fire easily thanks to a self-cocking system. Conveniently, you can get the Cobra with a built-in quiver that will hold five bolts, making it much more compact, easier to carry around, and faster for making multiple shots. It will work with most models of pistol crossbow bolts designed for 50- to 80-pound models. The Cobra comes with three bolts, but you should consider getting a lot more. On the other hand, if you want it to hunt small game, lighter weight will make it easier to aim the sensitive crossbow. For example, if it’s just a sidearm for safety, you don’t want it to add unnecessary weight to your kit. ![]() This is especially important for a pistol crossbow regardless of what you’re using it for. The aluminum stock and barrel is strong but lightweight and combines with fiberglass limbs and plastic accessories to create a durable model that doesn’t weigh you down. The construction also makes the Cobra a good option for all experience levels and purposes. This sight can certainly serve your purposes as is, though, especially thanks to an adjustable pin. This could include scopes to complement the “iron” sight, which is actually made of plastic. The top rail has ⅜-inch dovetail mounting, so you can attach any accessories compatible with this system. While it’s a fairly basic model on its own, it does allow you to modify. The Cobra is also a great base from which to jumpstart your archery hobby. The stringing is a little difficult on this model. If you do get this for the teenager in your life, just make sure you help them string it. Plus, you can get it with a stirrup at the front that you can hold with the other hand for even more leverage. This involves a lever behind the grip that gives you more leverage to cock the bowstring. That’s because, even with 80 pounds of draw weight, the Cobra is easy to draw thanks to the self-cocking mechanism. This could just be a fun side hobby for you, or it could be a great way to get your kids into hunting. This is because the 80 pounds of draw weight produces 160 FPS of bolt speed, which is enough to even hunt small game like squirrel and rabbit. Summary: The Snake Eye Tactical Cobra can benefit archers of all experience levels and help with just about any situation including small game hunting because of a quality design that produced 160 FPS of bolt speed.Īs a general-use pistol crossbow, the Snake Eye Cobra is hard to beat. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hint, this is precisely what we're asking our brains to do during a social conversation. Our thinking about criteria A has historically been based on white cis-boys from affluent families. In recent years much more research has come out that looks at autism in girls, genderqueer and BIPOC populations. All three subcategories must be met in order for criteria A to be met. If a person has 2 of the three subcategories, criteria A would not be met for autism. There are three subcategories for criteria A of Autism. The other criteria are used to help differentiate autism from other conditions and/or diagnoses. Criteria A broadly speaks to social, communication, and relationship differences, while criteria B speaks to routine, structure, repetition, special interests, and sensory issues. The ones that we spend the most time with are criteria A and B. To meet the criteria for Autism, five buckets of diagnostic criteria must be met (A-E). Let’s dive in! The DSM-5 Criteria for Autism Okay, now that we’ve gone over the purpose, intent, and limits of this post. However, the criteria are very similar to the ICD, which is used globally and broadly in medical settings. What about international people? The DSM-5 is based in the United States (the Psychological Association of America puts it out). While a person doesn't need to have all symptoms of each criterion, they typically need to have all criteria met (A, B, C, etc.) to be diagnosed. What do A, B, and C mean? The DSM is broken into different criteria buckets. I have made this choice to increase the transparency of what is actually in the DSM. It doesn't mean I agree with all the wording (in fact, I do not!). Much of the language used is deficit-based and pathological in nature. Most people don’t want to be woken up in the middle of the night to work, and it’s much easier for people to be on-call during the day. This isn’t possible in every industry, but it can be a big plus for employees in businesses where it is possible. Implement a Sun-Model Schedule (If Possible) By creating an on-call schedule, businesses are able to minimize the amount of overtime that their employees have to work while reducing the need to scramble to find backup support when someone is out unexpectedly. To highlight generative art and help people understand it in context, we needed more. It felt like something was missing because the edge cases and nuance of all the possibilities weren’t always visible to observers.īack then, I was minting on SuperRare, but I felt constrained by the fact that I could only upload image and video files, which limited the possibilities for interactive and live-coded works on the platform.
